JITOTM38: You Asked Us Again

You keep asking us questions, and it's been ages since we answered them. We're listening, really! And to prove it we've taken on your comments as this week's topic for discussion.

We've got the kid who learned to count in her mind, a fellow who had to fight his way out from under his duvet in a lucid dream, and a curious gentleman who wondered if the soul was the same as the unconsious mind. All this and more in this week's episode of JITOTM, You Asked Us Again.

Hey fellas --

Incredibly interesting as usual. I have a small request, though. Can you amp down the intro music a bit? It comes on pretty loud compared to your voices ...

I love the podcast otherwise!

But...but...what about my ever-elusive question?

Heather, do you mean the question you posed about MS symptoms as an altered state?

We did mention that question in Episode 31 Altered States...

As Jay mentioned in that episode, he's not aware of anyone discussing things like damaged myelin as the mechanism for altered states. He did suggest that not losing your sense of self might disqualify it from being considered that way.

It's true that we summed up by saying we hadn't actually answered your question... but as Jay pointed out, it may not be answerable.

True - I agree that it's likely an unanswerable question. I was just teasing.

Hi Jay:
Would you please email me at jstraumann@takemeout.cogeco.ca?
I used to do live shows for Microsoft, presenting in front of crowds of as many as a few thousand people, and I really loved it. I'd love to get started in a career in TV and/or broadcasting and would appreciate any insight you might be able to give me.
John Straumann.
