Hi, Jay and David
Shortly after listening to your podcast (and certainly due to it): Dream Consciousness 3, I had an opportunity to try the "Walking Life " light switch test.
In the dream, I awoke to a dimly lit room, filled with unfamiliar objects: baseball paraphernalia, glowing clock faces.
Appreciating that I was dreaming, I went to the light switch to turn it off. The switch was already in the off position. I turned it on and nothing happened.
I continued into a series of 3 or 4 false awaking dreams, which included: fighting off from beneath the duvet, a long gone childhood pet cat, a rat and a intruder.
I was always becoming aware I was dreaming, but was unable to control the events, including waking up. It was more akin to dreaming about dreaming, and never (and I have tried before) becoming a lucid dream.
Being the first cold night of winter and I was sleeping under a duvet for the first time this season, which may have contributed to this type of sleep paralysis dream.
Thank you for evoking this nightmare.
Regards, Robert St. Anthony
