JITOTM13: Memorable Moments

Memory is a big part of what goes on in your mind. In fact, it's almost impossible to imagine a life without memories - would we actually know anything at all? On the other hand, what if we could remember just about everything?

That's one of the the questions confronting scientists studying a thirty-something female subject called "A.J." in California. This otherwise ordinary woman appears to have the extraordinary ability to remember just about every day of her life, down to the most minute details. And unlike some famous mnemonists, who use special techniques to memorize words, numbers, or objects, A.J. hasn't done anything deliberate to help her remember the days of her life. Then again, she does write those diaries... and she watches a lot of TV...

Could these mundane facts hold the secret to a memory like no other? Flip through the pages of A.J.'s mind in Episode 13 of Jay Ingram's Theatre of the Mind, Memorable Moments.
